Racism at Vumbura and wilderness safaris as a whole must stop, Batswana must enjoy speaking their language freely. The big gap in salaries between the black and white should be considered soon

The powers that be need to wake up and seriously address these issues. Their continued silence when it comes to the despicable disregard of worker's basic rights in the so-called luxury safari camps in Botswana's premier wilderness destinations can only be construed as supporting the prevalent and dehumanizing status quo. I remember in 2018, during one of the longer days safaris we had running then,I visited one of the tented camps in the Khwai Concession. I wanted to see if I can get 2 nights accommodation for an upcoming trip. Indeed, there was availability on my dates. I was shown the rooms and I then asked the motswana lady there to reserve 2 rooms for me. What followed then pissed me off. The lady politely asked me to send an email request TO SOUTH AFRICA to make a request for a booking. I retorted, "why the hell should I send an email to South Africa when you have rooms available here...what are you doing then in the reception area here" I then calmed down after realizing that she is just the messenger in this whole issue. In short I want to say that vthe government needs to face these boers and show them who is boss here!! We cannot continue to allow our country and it's tourism base to be held hostage by these ungrateful beings.
