My name is Anthony Page, Sr I am a single father residing in Logan, Wv my son Anthony Page Jr. walked to Wendy's today with three of his neighborhood friends just before dark.. His friends grandfather which happens to be a West Logan police officer stopped by my home along with a younger gentleman looking for his grandchildren. After informing them that the kids walked to Wendy's and should be on their way home soon. The grandfather and the young man proceeded to Wendy' to pick his grandchildren up and according to the children, After asking him could Anthony have a ride home (which is on the same street) his answer to them was( HE CAN WALK) I'm not putting that black thing in my cruiser. A nine year old kid walking from Wendy's to Charles Street at night in 22 degree weather alone... This is who we hire to protect people? This is a police officer? Are you Kidding me? I'm so disturbed by this, I'm about to explode. People that still think in that manner, don't deserve air to breath let alone a job protecting the public. I'm going as far as I can go with this that's a promise. I ask that every please sign this and please tell your family and friends to as well. We have to stand together to prevent this from happening to someone else. The family and friends of a 9 year old Anthony Page, Jr.
