The silence from the Logan Police Department is unacceptable and it proves they are hoping we just go away. Contact the Mayor today and demand a formal investigation into this officer. Post this link on your Facebook page so our neighbors know exactly what happened to my son.

This is very disturbing from anyone but from an officer its just not acceptable that our tax dollars are paying his salary to live in the community that he feels cant be diverse...He should be taken off the force immediately!!!!
It appears that there were two offenses: 1) The racist comment is totally unacceptable and 2) a nine year old child was left to walk home in 22 degree weather. This behavior is inappropriate for someone entrusted to serve and protect. I hope justice prevails in this matter.
older black people and minorities we are used to this type of treatment,we have seen this before its nothing new, but a 9 yr old boy, in 2014 should not have to endure the bitter sting of racism.
Anthony please do keep pushing this matter & do NOT give up until it's resolved in some way. Keep speaking the truth & eventually your story will be heard by the right ears & someone will take much needed action. Situations like this make me embarrassed to say that I'm from Logan, WV. Officers are paid to protect and serve, This child should been given a ride home or the parent should been called and officer should stayed with the child until his parents came to pick him up. The streets are dangerous this child could have been harmed on his walk home. Sad a man would treat a child in this matter.
It's never gone change! I believe most of them are taught that.
Some people will never change. my heart goes out to u ant. call me if I can do anything to help

To me this should be some kind of Child Abuse. If we would leave our children out there like that that is what it would be called. But for someone who has took an oath to serve and protect. This is just unethical for anyone much less a Police Officer. I hope you get all the things you accomplish out of this Petition.
