There are many other natural values in the island that would be threatened by the introduction of a invasive speces

No reintroductions and no major actions can be done without a serious scientific study of pros and cons!
The island is patrimony of everyone, not only hunters. Other values must be considered, and biodiversity is a major one, which also has an economic impact through ecotourism!

Rabbits are a great problem for the conservation of native biodiversity in oceanic islands, and Porto Santo has big problems of soil erosion and loss of vegetation cover, in great part due to the negative effect of introduced hervibores (goats and rabbits)...
