The Palestinian authority started construction of a village on top of one of the most important Biblical and archaeological sites in Israel, Joshua's Altar.
The site is under imminent danger of destruction.
Israel has to protect the site immediately by:
1- Establishing permanent physical presence 24/7 to protect the site.
2- Declare this site a holy site for Jews and Christians.
3- Take all necessary steps to correct the damage that was done to the area this week.
4- Take full archaeological responsibility for the site.

Watching the latest images of the bulldozer tracks near the altar feels like watching history being erased in real time. We are currently working with legal advocates to ensure this site remains on the radar of those with the power to stop the construction.

I’m making my and my congregations concern for the desecration of a very important Historical Biblical site in Israel. Joshua’s Altar has been targeted as a very unlikely construction of an Arab Village. We ask that this would be halted and permanently stopped and monitored for protection as a Holy Site.
Joshua's Altar is about 3,500 years old! What could be more important than saving this vital landmark? Please do the right thing and move on Prime Minister Netanyahu to save this priceless site. Thank you for your time.
I am a Deacon at Second Baptist in Houston Texas and it is important to me that Israel protect Biblical heritage sites in Judea and Samaria and in this specific case, Palestinians are attempting to build new construction at site of Joshua’s Altar.
Joshua's altar is of our Jewish identity. If is covered up by Palestinian houses, we are covered up...without them using weapons but by our failure to protect ourselves and our future generations. Please don't let that happen.
The PA has absolutely zero authority to destroy a historical site that belongs to the Holy Land and the Jewish People. Joshua’s Altar has significant meaning to both Jews and Christians alike, as Joshua himself set it up after a great military victory. It must be kept safe from physical harm.

I’ve had the privilege of visiting Joshua’s Altar in person and worshipping there! I pray my children will have the same opportunity to do so. Please protect this site from being lost to future generations!
