If this story is as written, Assist should be ashamed of themselves. I worked for private companies like Assist for 8.5 years before gaining employment with the citys EMS Department. If I had worked for a company like Assist, and this situation had happened to me, you all would have been explaining this to the news and your Lawyers. Any company who would fire an employee for saving a life, is not worthy of that EMT to have in their ranks. Get a clue Assist! Patients before price!!! The DOH should revoke your charter!!!

This young man did what he was trained to do. This young man should leave that company and go to a place where his talents and dedication are appreciated.
