There's no way he should be suspended or fired. Every life is worth trying to save no matter what. He was doing the most logical thing to do. What if he was flagged down and would've refused to help? Then the ambulance company would've probably been sued for failure to help or refusing to help same difference if you ask me. The story says the patient on the bus wasn't in any distress and his partner was still there. What's wrong with trying to save a life? Damn if you do and you're damned if you don't. The difference is now he can live with himself knowing that at least he tried to save her. How can the head of the company live with relieving him of his duties for trying to save a life. He should be rewarded. I'm done venting.

Qwasie Reid is a good man with a great heart, I've known him for many years and it's sad to see the price someone has to pay for giving a galling hand which could of resulted in death...

This man is a hero. Either give him his job back or give him an extremely generous severence package.

Qwasie is a hero; he made a split second decision, despite his partner's urging otherwise, and "rules be damned" that was about common sense and humanity: "I need to make every attempt I can to try to save a girl [and her family from grief]." He made the right decision. If his employer is going to punish him for this, I hope they punish all the drivers and workers who make "unauthorized" stops to pick up frappuchinos, smoothies, bagels, and pizza during work hours because I'm sure that's also against the rules.

He was taught to save lives for a living and now he has been suspended for doing just that? You should be ashamed of yourselves for reprimanding a man for saving the life of a little girl. No reason, no excuse, no protocol is more important than saving a life.

The company needs to give this man a commendation and his job back . Should Noelia survive that will be great enough. If she doesn't and her parents donate her organs, Qwasie will have saved even more ! God bless you and keep you Qwasie!
