Queensview Board Member Candidate - Robert Stein

Dear Fellow Shareholders,
My name is Robert Stein. It’s hard to believe 35 years have passed since I moved to Building 1, Apt. 10A in Queensview. I have grown up with this wonderful complex and am proud to “pay it forward” by being a productive member of the community. I currently serve as a Board member, and previously served as Community Council President, as well as Building Representative. I will endeavor to do the best for Queensview and its residents by advocating for the greatest good for the greatest number of people.
We are heading towards a challenging time for Queensview. The buildings and infrastructure are aging and require maintenance that had been deferred for many years. New NYC and statewide rules and regulations will require us to adapt the way in which we run the complex. We need to continue to look at things critically to see where we can save money and control costs, including staff productivity, vendor management, and supplies management.
The responsibility as a Board member is something I take very seriously. It requires a dedication of time, hard work, critical thinking, negotiation skills, and the ability to work well with others. I believe my 30+ years working in financial services, with an emphasis on compliance and risk management, successfully prepares me for this position. My professional experience has taught me to analyze problems effectively. I don’t shy away from making the very hard decisions.
Yet with hard decisions comes the responsibility to make prudent financial choices. Such choices will shape our future, and it must be done intelligently and creatively to minimize the financial impact to our shareholders. Fiscal restraint and improved efficiency are the keys to Queensview’s continued success and longevity.
I am proud to be serving on the Board with a wonderfully talented and dedicated group of people, and hope to continue to serve with them to advocate on your behalf. I want to continue making Queensview a great place to live and to help solidify its prosperity and fiscal health.
