Climbing Mt Warning is a wonderful challenge and should remain open for our children and their children

People should be allowed to experience the wilderness of the world as long as they take care not to damage the wilderness in any way and leave it as-if they were never there.

This closure makes a mockery of the concept of a National Park

I climbed Mt. Warning with my 16 yr old twin sons in 2003. I believe the mountain holds male initiatory significance for the Aboriginals? It was a powerful day for us. It should be open for all to experience and cherish.

Why should a ''spiritual connection to the land'' stop people from climbing ? The mountain has been there for millions of years and will be for millions more. Open for any species on earth to try it

Outrageous, divisive and indefensible. open the track and stop pandering to unelected activist groups. Closing the summit track because it is "not culturally safe" is (a) ridiculous and (b) racist in itself.

My father took us up the mountain when I was 7 in 1963. I would have liked my 4 grand kids to have had this wonderful experience. National Parks were set aside for the enjoyment of the people and to preserve nature for future generations. That's all people.

Please let common sense prevail and reverse this national psychosis. We must not close this national icon to appease the few fools who propose it.

I was born and grew up almost at the base of Mount Warning. That area forms a part of my foundation as a person. Am I not afforded the same rights as all other Australians? Am I not allowed to show my children where I was born and raised and the impact it had on me and my siblings as people? Surely there is a way to respect one persons rights without disrespecting another’s? The beauty of nature is for all to see and enjoy!

I find it disgusting to be refused entrance to a public national park. this affects all the locals and businesses tht depend upon tourism that effectlively maintains the condition of the park. it si going to be inevitable that it will fall into some disrepair and possibly become a fire hazard. get real and repon the park.

This is an ill-informed decision. No one should should have the right to exclude others from natural wonders. Closing mountains works against a successful referendum for an Indigenous voice. Keep it open!

So this is how Aboriginals show their desire to be part of Australia. If some one wants to visit me , they just have to knock on my door and I let them in. Why can't the "custodians " of Mt Warning (The name tells its story)do the same? Be gracious and let people visit our beautiful country and cease their racist behaviour.

Mt Warning is the best hike for all people who love a challenge and are inspired by nature. It is one of Qld natural wonders and to have it taken away would be a great loss for everyone.

I want my children to be able experience sunrise on Mt Warning as I did.
