The natural beauty of Australia belongs to ALL of us; to appreciate and to enjoy. It's not for any one group to claim exclusive ownership over any part of it, excluding the rest of us. We live now in the 21st century, and this country, the COMMONWEALTH of Australia, is the collective property of every citizen living here.

Reopen Mt Warning National Park. What an absolute DISGRACE that it has been closed for so long. It is RACIST to say this place belongs to the indigenous descendants and to no one else.

I climbed Mt Warning at sunrise in early 2019 and it was literally one of the most breathtaking hikes I did in a long time. To deny access to this amazing mountain to everyday hardworking and tax-paying Australians is an affront and blatant discrimination. Everyone who I spoke to and who climbed this mountain did so respectfully and as a result appreciated this beautiful region even more. Re-open this track!

This track needs to be reopened so that people can experience our beautiful natural environment. This will be a morale booster and an aid to improved mental health in our society. This is for all Australians not just a minority group dictating to the rest of us.

I was born in Murwillumbah, I've climbed Mt Warning 3 times and I'm a female. To have some corrupt aboriginal land council say I'm in danger because it's a men's site is ridiculous. My mother and 2 sisters have climbed it multiple times, my female friends have too. Reopen it for everyone to enjoy instead wasting 7k a day guarding it for a misguided sense of protectionism. If they'd spent that money on restoring the site instead of throwing it away we'd all have a wonderful location to enjoy.

I believe that all Australian citizens ought to have respectful access to places of spiritual and cultural significance in our country. I would happily see my tax dollars supporting adequate signals, protective boundary guidelines and potentially educational tour guided walks.

One Australia for all ! Australians have fought and died for the freedom we enjoy, not for just parts of Australia.

As the first place to see the sun rise each morning on the mainland, this hike is indeed a place of spiritual significance to all that hikes it. As a national park, it is there to be enjoyed by the nation.

Reopening Mount Warning must be a national priority. A mountain belongs to all who wish to experience its majesty. It is absurd to keep a national park open only to a select group of Australians, it is profoundly undemocratic.

There is no valid reason why I, as a citizen of Australia, should not be able to freely access the summit. It should not be the sole domain of a very small minority of our citizens. Accessing the summit means different things to different people. Additionally I am more than capable of assessing the safety of the track and do not need the nanny state to decide whether or not it is safe on my behalf.

This land Australia has nourished my soul and body for my entire existence. Climbing Mt Warning has been one of the most powerful spiritual voyages in my life. To close off the access of growth spiritually and opportunity of connection to OUR sacred land and fauna and flora is wrong. Please reopen My Warning.
