National Parks are not only important to local people but are important internationally. They protect habitats and species often found nowhere else.

The mountain permanently closing in the first place was a disgraceful act of discrimination against majority of Australians. What happened to we are one but we are many? Does our national anthem mean nothing?

Please reconsider the closure of Mount Waring. Nature should not be owned by anyone, and should be accessible to everyone. The closure is divisive, racist and does nothing to advance the Aboriginal causes.

It’s not right to ban non indigenous Australians from using public land. Enough is enough it’s purely spite

I am not aware of why it was closed,
But it is a beautiful place to hike up to. Surely something can be done to enable its reopening.

It is a National Park and as such it it is for the Nation and all its people. Not just reserved for one ethnic group. This closure is decisive and wrong.

This is the kind of petition that would interest Advance (Australia). They may host it on their website.

It’s disgusting that this trail was closed. Aboriginal people should not be the only people to enjoy this beautiful place. Any sacred significance has long since been lost and unpracticed.

I believe Wollumbin should be open to all people to walk. If numbers are too great then limit the numbers to an acceptable amount on a daily basis. ie a booking system. I'm sure some compromise can be reached with the indigenous people. Perhaps, an area of the park could be closed at times for particular ceremonial events. Let us all enjoy the spiritual significance of this great mountain.

I have climbed this mountain at least once a year for 30 years

I think this is ludicrous to impose a climbing ban and that tax payers have to pay for security to stop climbers.

We need to respect and be educated on indigenous culture on the mountain by being able to visit and experience the summit. National Parks should make it safer.
