We believe all healthcare workers, emergency personnel who deal with the public should be bilingual. EMERGENCY SITUATIONS must be communicated in either of the official Canadian languages in Quebec. The situation that occurs daily where personnel inform patients to "speak French" is INTOLERABLE and must be corrected immediately. All personnel who deal wit the public should and must be bilingual.
