There should never be any compromise in providing education for young minds. I was educated in my formative years in the 80's which provided me with the tools that allowed students to succeed. Where is it NOW??

As an ex teacher, the problems existing in the school system are terrible.Pupils reach CEGEP and can't read or write or do math properly.Change is needed intensely.

Not providing teachers with the respect for their profession. These cuts (and lack of proper raises) exploit teachers.

Do you know how many students come to our special ed. school after YEARS of frustration in high school? We not only have to teach these students, but we have to heal their broken spirits and work through their anger and frustration. Coding is essential and smaller class sizes help the teacher and support staff give quality education for all. These kids are our future.

There should be no price tag on a quality education. The reality is, if these cuts and changes that the government is suggesting DO go through, ALL children will suffer. And we'll see the damage of these cuts in the present AND in the years to come...guaranteed. Please don't devalue children and teachers this way.

j'ai travaille comme éducatrice spécialisée pendant plus de 20 ans et perdu mon poste suite aux coupures, les professeurs font des miracles dans des classes avec plusieurs élèves avec de grands besoins, jamais je n'ai vu des représentants fonctionnaires venir passer du temps dans ces classes et pourtant on prends des décisions irresponsables au ministère, chapeau à tous les professeurs qui commencent l'année dans de telles conditions!

cuts now and the resulting lower education standards will lead to more expenses later as many of today's youth will not have the education to lead productive lives as adults and will rely on social benefits. These are false economies and will do no good at all.

The problem with our government is that they send their own children to private schools, therefore have no clue about the realities of public education classrooms. The public also has to realize that our fight is NOT FOR OUR SALARIES, it's for our children.

I challenge anyone of your staff that has had a hand in these cuts , to come spend 1 day and keep control of a class . This class would be larger , include special needs students and very little or no support staff .... bonne chance !
