Quail Valley Middle School may have products that could deplete the ozone and harm the environment. CFCs are chemicals that cause 80% of the ozone depletion. These chemicals are found in freezers and air conditioners. It is found in foam products such as couches, sofas, and chairs as well. A type of chemical called Halons can be found in fire extinguishers. These chemicals are everywhere over the school and could potentially hurt the ozone layer. These chemicals should not be removed from the school, but we need to limit them as much as possible to lower damage to the ozone layer. We need to limit the amount of ozone depleting chemicals in our environment to not hurt the ozone as much as we have.
