In Qatar Academy, Doha, Qatar students are given ridiculous amounts of homework. Many experts say that too much homework can cause stress and fights at home. ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/education/3472467.stm ). With this amount of homework, many students including myself have felt great stresses at home and school. For my Systems Tech project of combining technologies to make a change in our school. With resent polls (and general consensus throughout the school) students said they are always overwhelmed by homework, assessments, and projects. Also, for non-Qatar Academy related persons, Qatar Academy's school hours are 7:00am- 2:20pm. In Qatar the day ends late, and starts early. With the long hours, ending late and sleeping early, students have no time for anything at home. With homework it's not only cutting into our already limited time, but taking what we are trying to get away from to the only place we could get away from it.
