There is no more important use for this building than allowing the growth of Fortune Academy. Why would a free building in one breath become a $200,000 building in the next? I would hope your establishment would honor the first proposal to Fortune for their High School that will benefit so many youth and their families. One in five children struggle with learning challenges. Chances are they are your family members or friends. Please allow this opportunity to Fortune Academy and honor your original proposal.

Speak with just one student, one parent or teacher - you will immediately learn of the impact this school is making on some of our community's brightest kids that unfortunately struggle with learning differences. Allowing Fortune Academy to expand into the PX building shows you truly care about the future of our community and the needs of its children.

As an educator, it is a blessing and gift that the city has a school such as Fortune Academy. I think many take the small school for granted, but it is a GIANT in education and a diamond for the city of Lawrence. FA is only 1 of very few schools in the United States taking education by storm and changing the lives of the students that walk their halls. The East Side of Indy is in DESPERATE need of businesses that challenge the direction of the community, and Fortune is an outstanding example of growth, potential and excitability. Always know Fortune puts the community of their students first which is not something you find often.

The value of The Fortune Academy to Lawton Loop, The Fort, and Lawrence is immeasurable. Their reputation is impeccable... I am proud to have them as my neighbor. I have been a resident of Lawton Loop for 14 years and am thrilled that they are interested in the building. We finally have an opportunity to build real value into our community!

The lost opportunities to our community and neighborhood are too innumerable to list if Fortune High School does not come to fruition in the East Loop PX Building.
