The holidays is about being with family and my family doesn't live near by and I don't want to travel on New Year's Day just so my son can be back at school on the second. We should enjoy our New Year's Day and not worrying about school the next day. Have some holiday spirit these kids haven't had a snow day in a few years and work hard and stress over school. Give them this 3 day break

My family and many others won't be back from vacation in time. Also, it's the holidays, we anticipate it all year long.

The winter break should be extended for multiple reasons. the students need a break, majority of people going away to vacation wont be back, and there is a pointless reason to be back for 2 days in that week, because the teachers nor the students will get much work done, and the buses and other expenses is unnecessary.

I believe students should get a longer break because students work. They should get 2-3 more day to relax and soend time with family. Weekends aren't enough. Those are usually packed with homework.

We will be out of town for the holidays. I would rather my kids not have to miss school. It is insane for them to go back on Jan 2nd.

Yes. So many students and teachers are already out of town for Thanksgiving. Why put them through all the trouble of fjnding substitutes and make-up work?
