I'm going to have family in town, just like every year, but they have school off for the full two weeks. I would like to actually spend some time with them like every other normal year since it's the holidays and that is the only time my family and I get to see them and spend time with them. If there was going to be school, I feel like it wouldnt be beneficial because the majority of the students will still be out of town since we would go back right after New Years.

it's our break, COME ON. OTHER SCHOOLS HAVE A FULL 2 WEEK BREAK AND IT ISNT FAIR THAT PEOPLE HAVE TO CUT THEIR VACATION TIME FOR SCHOOL!!!!!!!!

I know that the school year isn't that crowded; the last few days of the school year there's usually little to do.

In this current day in age, high school has become stressful. We as high school students have to work hard to get the good grades for college. We use the holiday break as a time to recuperate from the daily stress of high school. By having a shorter break that is only one week, then our recuperation is shortened. The county already builds in extra hours without snow-days. Prince William County School students are receiving more then the mandatory hours of classroom time that is required by the state. Along with that, there is automatically 10 snow days built into the year already. We don't get the snow days back or the hours? We as students have higher stress levels in the past two years then in years far in the past and we need a longer winter break to recuperate from the stress of school.

It would be so nice to be able to travel to see family that is across the country if only we had the extra days for travel.
Students and teachers need the extra 2 days
Most student won't be coming in anyway, it would be better to just have those days off.
