PWC should be treated the same as other marine craft. With the exception of greater distances (ie 60mtrs) from swimmers and shore etc in line with other states.

I 100% agree. Us PWC users are so restricted compared to boats when they are the same.

PWC owners are treated like lepers. Cant access here, Cant go same speed as other vessels here, Cant launch from here along with other vessels, Cant use boat ramps during certain months here, Cant travel offshore like a Kayak can, Cant operate same hours as other vessels can. The Laws are Draconian/ Biased and need to chnaged to reflect a fair and equitable playing field for all marine/water vessels.

The restrictions discriminate between boat , dingy and PWC on the river and the backwaters of the Murray which is so frustrating when the PWC s doing 4 knots and a dingy roars past up near Renmark

We need to also ensure that as PWC users we are not a nuisance on the waterways especially the river. I have seen many an example of this.

The speed restrictions in the back waters if the Murray also need to removed for PWC as dinghies can travel with unrestricted speed.

Thourouly agree. PWC's are so much more than they used to be. Touring, fishing, skiing with family and friends. As long as PWC is carrying all required safety equipment & following rules should be treated in the same manner as boats.
