Everyone who manages servers needs an ssh (Secure Shell) client. The market is split between two main players; Secure CRT (which \'aint free folks) and Putty (which is, and has always been free)
The Putty developers classified a tabbed window project as low priority. The purpose of this petition is to ask them to begin work on it immediately. Only by seeing how many people actively want a tabbed version of Putty will persuade the developers that this is a feature worth working on.
Please sign this, and tell your fiends and colleagues about this grassroots effort to make the best ssh client in the universe EVEN BETTER.
I logged on this morning and the momentum is just wild and honestly it feels like people are finally realizing that we really do need tabs in Putty. It is funny how a little idea just keeps snowballing like this when you start seeing the names of people who actually care about their workflow and terminal setups as much as I do.

I just saw the counter roll over to one hundred which is honestly wild because I really thought this would just be me and a few coworkers complaining into the void. It feels like maybe we actually have a shot at getting those tabs if people keep clicking on this thing even if the developers act like it is no big deal.

we are almost at a hundred signatures which is honestly way faster than I thought it would be when I started this whole thing. if everyone here can just ping that one sysadmin buddy who still uses twenty separate Putty windows then we will hit that milestone before I even finish my coffee. it feels like we might actually get someone to listen if we keep this momentum going.

This is an absolute must feature for folks managing more then 5 sessions at the same time. Windows clumps all the tabs into one icon. I have to resort to coloring the sessions to be able to visially select them.

I use SecureCRT at work all the time. At home I would like use PuTTY, but I have a lot of routers, switches and servers that I use and would like to access them without having to open multiple windows. In Linux I use PAC, but windows needs a good program that will do PuTTY with tabs.

I really wish this would be implemented. However, I would really appreciate if the window itself can stay the way it is, meaning, not have a big wrapper tab console like Secure CRT have PuTTY look and feel the exact same as it does currently and just add like an arrow or drop down menu to select the console to switch to so that it is just as simple to use as ever, has the slim clean and miniscule feel and also supports exactly what everyone has been waiting for! Thanks for the read!

Having 20 putty windows open on my taskbar is driving me crazy at this point. Please fix this.
