A second entrance to Putney station is desperately needed, at busy rush hour times the stairs are so dangerous due to the number of people trying to enter / exit. A second entrance along Upper Richmond road would help with this and also support the growing development in the area, as well as better links with East Putney tube station.

I believe a second entrance at Putney Station is necessary to relieve congestion and to give easier access to East Putney Station.

Yes please. It would take ten minutes off the walk for me!

This proposal has my full support. It not only makes access from the East Putney area and East Putney tube significantly easier but it also will help to reduce crowding at the main entrance.

I wholeheartedly support this initiative in connecting tube and rail more closely, and in reducing congestion at the main entrance.

Really sensible idea. Will reduce crowding on Putney High Street entrance and make the link between the tube station and the railway system easier

As a ward councillor and chairman of Wandsworth's Passenger Transport Liaison Group I fully support a second station entrance. We've seen significant population and commuter growth on Upper Richmond Road and Putney station is now dangerously congested at peak times. We've been campaigning for a second entrance for some time as well as speaking to Chris Grayling and Sir Peter Hendy to urge them to join the Council in funding and implementing this excellent proposal.

Fully support this, it would make access to the station so much easier

Everything points to the necessity for a second entrance. If one tries to reach platform 3 around 6pm, it is often physically impossible due to the incredible crush of passengers trying to leave the station.

A second entrance is long overdue.

This is a very good idea and works on many levels, it's also a straightforward and simple solution I'd suggest, things are not always this easy and our population keeps growing as offices become apartments.

A second entrance will reduce congestion at the main entrance, improve connection between East Putney and Putney mainline and improve commute times into London for many residents living in East Putney as it will considerably shorten their walk.

The construction of a second entrance is long overdue. If Network Rail had any interest in passenger welfare it would have been built when the station was refurbished recently.

This just makes so much common sense, especially with the further apartment developments at the east side of the Upper Richmond Road. Also aids the link or transfer between rail and tube.
