Put the Counseling Center Info on the Syllabi at GVSU!

The Warrior Movement is a student organization with the goals of advocating, destigmatizing, and educating on mental health related topics. We believe it could be very beneficial for students to have the information about the GVSU Counseling Center on their classes syllabi, near the mandatory information about the Disability Support Services. The Counseling Center is a resource available to every student and knowing about it can greatly help the wellbeing of students.
Here is an example of what should be included:
"Counseling Center
The University Counseling Center is a free campus resource that supports the well-being of individual students through a broad spectrum of services including same-day crisis consultations, individual therapy, and a variety of different group therapy options. The counseling center is staffed with a diverse group of professionals that are dedicated to addressing the unique needs of each student. The Counseling Center has two locations: STU 206 on the Allendale campus and DEV 101B on the Downtown campus. Both locations are open Monday-Thursday from 8a-6p. The Allendale location is also open on Fridays from 8a-5p.
For more information on the Counseling Center and its services, call (616)-331-3266 or visit https://www.gvsu.edu/counsel/."
Please show your support of normalizing use of the Counseling Center by signing our petition to include this information on course syllabi which would make the information more available to all students.
