This is how it should be - taxpayers have all info and decide what's done with this building, especially for students of Linden Schools and Linden Residents!

Linden community is paying for this based on a design that benefits the Linden band and teams.
Any and all changes need to be reviewed in a public forum
If not than there should be a vote to potentially cancel this project

Anonymous (Mr. Coward) The purpose of this petition is not asking to move money around. It is asking to reduce the cost of the new building (Turf is way cheaper than a new basketball court and Gymnastic equipment, if Linden is buying the equipment) and makes this building much more versatile for ALL Linden athletes. All of the field sports( Baseball, Softball, Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, Track and Field) along with band and cheer would barely benefit from the current design. We, as taxpayers, are funding this building and we want our tax dollars used wisely.

Not a coward, Just a Public Official that doesn't have a vote on the outcome. The Group that helped put the Bond Proposal together and backed it have called for a meeting with Russ and he has agreed. The key point is you can't just move money around after it has been voted on. The Board , The Coaches, and a lot of school staff were involved.

Change the design. No to gymnastics being permanent. We need an indoor track!!

So they snuck in a meeting while everyone was distracted with covid. i am sure that they knew if the community was aware that there would be backlash. it was pushed through with very little advertising or input. too bad, there seem to be so many better and more common sense ideas

To Little Too Late ! Bond Money is allocated to the project as submitted when the bond is issued. You can't decide after the fact that you don't like where the Money went and everyone that says they didn't know or weren't asked are lying, I sat in the meetings with them! The bigger issue right now is getting the security upgrades moved forward.
