For our citizenship module, Active Citizenship, we are hoping to get enough signatures to get this petition to be argued in Parliament. We are hoping to make the sentences on knife crime harsher. As it stands the sentence is approximately 5 Years imprisonment. This seems to lenient, more and more families are being affected by this harsh act of violence and nothing is being done. Knife crime has risen 2% since 2018, and over 47,000 cases were reported in March alone ! This needs to stop. Young children are being violently attacked for no reason, ruining their life, and also their families. Please sign this petition to make England a safer place for future generations to come !
