By any objective measurement of voter preference, Carly Fiorina is well within the top ten Republican presidential candidates in the 2016 race. For its September debate, CNN has announced it will select the debate participants based on an average of the polls conducted between mid-July and early September. That methodology employs nine polls conducted before Ms. Fiorina's masterful performance in the August FOX debate and two conducted since. Accordingly, it appears that Ms. Fiorina might be excluded from the September main debate. This, despite the fact that in every national poll conducted since the FOX debate places Ms. Fiorina in the top six among GOP hopefuls.

Be advised, RNC, that we the undersigned have grudgingly supported extremely weak GOP candidates in presidential elections for over a decade... simply because we were choosing the the least objectionable of two bad alternatives. WE REMEMBER THE CANDY CROWLEY DEBACLE FROM 2012 and we are demanding that the RNC use its significant power to ensure that left leaning CNN is not given the power to again significantly damage the campaigns of our GOP candidates due to their obvious bias.

We know that the RNC has the ability to correct this travesty before it occurs, even if it means publicly denouncing the debate and urging all GOP candidates to decline to participate in what would certainly be a rigged event.

We are serious about this matter, and pledge the following. If the RNC participates in the CNN debate without Ms. Fiorina on the stage, we are putting you on notice that we will NOT, once again, vote for a Republican candidate selected dishonestly. The belief that we must support the GOP nominee because we are so fearful of the Democrat alternative is a distant memory. Having barely survived eight years of the worst the Democrat Party has to offer, we the undersigned, will either sit out the general election or perhaps even vote for the Democrat nominee.

In either event, it's time the RNC recognize who its base is. It is NOT every minority voting bloc that can be imagined; it is grassroots Conservatives and Moderates alike who have become so sick of politics as usual (including allowing the media to unduly influence the process) that we are prepared to issue this ultimatum. Our signature below are not indicative that we necessarily support Ms. Fiorina, but, instead, that we support fairness in the campaign. Mr. Priebus, the ball is in your court, and rest assured, we are awake and will be watching YOU between now and scheduled CNN debate.
