It's people like this who deserve to be locked up. He needs to learn a lesson, letting him walk isn't teaching him anything, and giving him the open opportunity to hurt someone else. This man is clearly unstable, and capable of murder. He shouldn't be allowed to walk away from this.

I know someone in California who is in prison for life who did less physical damage than this. He was a 3td strike felon though.
