This is not okay! This topic is something that should be taught at home. A child as young as 5 years is not old enough to understand this. They aren't even going through puberty yet. Parents should be able to decide when they want to teach their child about sexuality.

I believe that the majority of people in Washington State, especially outside of the Seattle metropolis, would be opposed to these new standards. I also believe these standards will be destructive to our society and culture!

I fail to see how gender anything is any of public the education system's business. They're supposed to educate on things that help people get jobs, pay taxes, and just basic things you need to know to not be homeless for the rest of your life. Facts people, not opinions.

My child can't even read yet and the state wants to teach him about gender identity... Come on! Let's get back to truly educating our children. This subject should be reserved for middle school and high school children.

Absolutely absurd! I don't know why the government thinks it's ok to force the PC culture on our children. Why don't they focus on actually teaching our children.

This is despicable! Parent have the RIGHT to know what their children are being taught and the opportunity to opt out of the nasty teaching of the world!

Our kids do not need to learn about these types of things in elementary school. Parents have the rights to not allow this, you do not have the right too teach it. Kids will become confused at such young ages.

Teaching children anything that could possibly effect their beliefs as an adult at that young of an age is horrendous. Terrorist have been feeding ideas to children sense their conception, and it had molded their minds into terrorist them selves. If someone chooses to be a mix match sex then good for them. However I surely do not want my child coming home asking me how two men make baby.

This is beyond absurd ... kids do not need to be more exposed to these thing than they already are I believe this is just to try to further confuse more kids ... this is something that parents need to address and resolve at home if there is any issue but school should not be pushing this crap on kids

No! Way too young to start this. Who,comes up with this type of legislation? I would have pulled my kids from this type of education and will encourage my children to pull theirs as well.
