I am sick of the schools teaching our children about things that should be left to parents to talk about...Reading., writing and arithmetic should be the focus....

I want my children to be able to retain their traditional beliefs on gender and sexuality and not be ostracized or condemned in the classroom for believing so.

I am against this because it is not the schools job to teach this in anything other then a sexual education class. Elementary kids have no reason to try to understand this.

This is far too young and leads to other topics that children are no where near ready mentally to understand!!! Furthermore, I don't beleive an "opt out" option would be good either because then the peers that were allowed to opt in will then be teaching those that didn't opt in. This should be done at a time in life when these subject cross their life path and should be explained by the parent as they see fit! NOT OUR SCHOOLS!!!

This is one reason why I have decided to home school rather than send my child to public school. The state is overstepping it boundaries and is forcing topics to be taught in school regardless of the consent of the parents. Schools should stick to teaching the main curriculum of math, science, reading and social studies. I am certified teacher. As one I don't feel this would be my place to teach children about this subject area especially if it goes against their family's beliefs. This would also cause me not to go back to the public school system as a teacher.

I feel that the schools should teach math reading English History and arts and Music I think that's cool should leave the religion to the kids and the families and quit teaching them racist crap I am sorry my kids are at school now but I still have grandkids in school I feel that the pledge allegiance should be back into the schools and quit trying to divide the kids let the parents decide that one for their children and the schools teach what should teach map Reading biology science history and art leave the rest alone I feel that people in school who teaches should teach him to love all and to be kind to all just saying.

I am all for people's rights but when you start to cram you political propaganda down the throats of our children I draw the line.

This goes against our rights are children's rights are Christian rights we don't push our beliefs on them to be straight and they should not have the right to push their beliefs on our children at a tender age or even older anywhere in our lives this goes against our religious rights our family values endless explanations of this you pass this your here making our schools unsafe for our children my children are not going to be talked about someone else's sexual orientation when that is not something that we hold to in our religious and but our family values that is wrong and territorial this is unbelievably the most unconstitutional bologna they have their beliefs I understand and they have their ways of living but that doesn't mean you take a whole nation and shove it down our throats and try to put it into law do we put into law that they have to learn about being straight and that's the only way and they're just going to have to get over being gay or transgender or whatever they are and they're just going to have to get with the program and be straight but you are forcing it down our children throat trying to now now what is wrong with you guys these are our children and if you want to teach something like that to your child that is your decision but not to make it a public policy or law that is ridiculous and it is infringing on our rights as parents our rights as United States our constitutional our rights As care human rights or civil rights our Bill of Rights are rights period

Schools have no place teaching my child this. If this stays as a standard, my child will not be attending public school but will be home schooled.
