Letting them find out for themselves is how teen pregnancy happens.

You want to homeschool instead? Good, that will help our overpopulated elementary schools.

OSPI has clearly drank the Kool-Aid of the gay/trans agenda. ENOUGH already! Does everything have to be political??

I am outraged by what Washington state is trying to force on our children in the area of sexual gender teaching. I am asking that this be rescinded. This does not clarify sexual gender it only gives vulnerable children information that muddies their thinking. We have managed to educate our children in the past without this subject ever being considered. We don't need to bring it up in public schools for any reason.

Cabby believe any adult would be ok with an innocent child polluting their brain with such things at the age of 5

Let's leave this type of learning up to parents and individual school districts, shall we?

This is only going to cause major confusion. If this is something we really want to teach why not start in middle school where they can understand.

I understand the importance of sex ed. However, not in kindergarten, or 1st through 5th or 6th grade. And when it is taught, parents need to be given a detailed itinerary about what is going to be taught and how, including educational resources and language. The parents should also be given their parental right to opt their kid(s) out if they so choose.

This is insanity. Children ages 0-10 need to be taught these subjects by their parents. Their own gender, personality, body (other than biology), and other personal choices the child needs to make are the parents role. The school cannot and should not replace the parent.

Schools shouldn't interfere with family values, and beliefs. This is too far to teach young to be telling children they are choose what sex they want to be!

Public Schools should not teach any curriculum involving gender identity or sexual identity. This is an issue that is undermining the values taught in our families and is directly opposed to many religious beliefs.

This is ridiculous! I will not have my children learn this. If they are struggling with their gender identity then I will give them the lesson at home. Completely inappropriate!

This is absolutely rediculous!! This country is going downhill fast with decisions like this! Education should be focused on Math, Sciences, English...grammar, spelling, especially!.. NOT focusing on sexuality and how corrupt and confusing it has become because of social "acceptance" and political "correctness". This kind of cheap is DEFINITELY NOT age appropriate for a 5 year old!
