Please stop trying to introduce alternative lifestyles to our children. This is a topic best left to parents.

This subject matter is completely against Christian prenciples and therefore should not be taught. Also, it is completely inappropriate for grade school children.

Unreal. How did we get to this point? Parents should have a say in things like this. It sure makes one want to handle their kids' education at home (which, thankfully, is still legal in Washington state). We've homeschooled our kids K-12 from the beginning and they are wonderful, upstanding, contributing, thoughtful, loving members of society. To me, this just portrays the need for more support for homeschooling in our state.

Please, get the sexual orientation Dis-information out of grade school. It has NO place there. This kind of over-reach and no information to parents will lead to real questions on legislative and Washington superintendent involvement of how they are looking to have our children educated. Ray

This is RIDICULOUS. These children aren't at an age where they fully understand the difference between right or wrong. They can't be expected to make serious choices about anything this important.

Disgusting!!! My kids do NOT need to be taught this crap at all. I hope this petition actually works.

Schools are stepping way beyond the boundaries. The administration always says that education starts in the home and that parents should be involved in their children's education. I'm not seeing this much anymore. Parents aren't the bad guys here just because they want to teach their children about sex, gender, homosexuality, etc. that's my job, not the kindergarten teachers.

Teaching topics on HIV prevention, gender orientation, topics of any sexual foundation are inappropriate for elementary school aged children and should be taught by a child's parent, if they so choose, at such an early age. To educate young children in these matters will only cause premature sexual curiosity. Children at this developmental stage aren't mature enough mentally, to process this type of information. I'm absolutely 100% against adding these topics to school curriculum.

This action is absurd who's doing this ! Remove these topics now!

This is completely inappropriate and almost unbelievable that the state would overstep its boundaries and do this to our kids.

I believe a vast majority of Washington State parents oppose this grab for the minds and futures of our children and grandchildren!!!!
