Kindergarten is not an age where children should learn about subjects such as sex, and gender, etc. What rights do parents have that do not want their children taught this? Especially children that have religious backgrounds, what about Jewish children, Catholic children, Protestant Children? Children that are five years old should NEVER have to understand sex, they are too young.

Children are sensitive to what authority figures suggest to them and could be emotionally confused and damaged by promoting these social issues. The school is overreaching their purpose which is to teach reading, writing and arithmetic.and let the parents teach the sex education.

Praying the private christian or catholic schools don't yield to this mandate.

I don't think this should even be talked about in the elementary level, except in their homes, taught by their parents. Then they can learn what the parents desire for them to learn on this issue. I think teaching a general belief of kindness and respect to all is satisfactory at this age.

I am requesting that OSPI respect the wishes of parents and taxpayers by removing these controversial topics from the elementary school curriculum standards once and for all

This is nonsense. Looks like I will be paying for my children's private education now. I will NOT stand by this and possibly move to a different state. This is out of hand.

This is just unbelievable that this type of "curriculum" is being tried out on KINDERGARTENERS!! What will they remember for the long haul? Their minds are just forming to even know and understand their ABC's. Sex and gender issues are not for their minds. Do NOT let this go through!!

I do not agree to having this curriculum taught to my small child. It is my responsibility to teach this to her not the school teacher's job!!!! The government does not raise my child!

Parents are the guardians of their own children... Not the Public Schools! When are schools going to stop assuming the role of parenting, and start teaching Reading, writing, Math, History, Economics, etc., etc., etc.!

no way in hell, my children and grandchildren are not their guinea pigs. They might have gone to the other side and now want to make everyone else joined their perverted minds.

It is not the teacher nor the education system to teach my kids about alternative life styles..

The plan to indoctrinate children with false information is outrageous. Respected medical research indicates that gender is assigned at birth and is impossible to change. Rather, persons who question their gender need medical and professional help, not abandonment to such a foolish notions such as attempting to change gender by physical mutilation.
