These standards are not age appropriate and will prove destructive to developing identities. They will cause more confusion in the many than can be justified for any relief of confusion in the few. Parents and communities need to be involved and informed in the adoption of any such changes.

I can't even find the words to describe how sad this makes me. Can't we just lets kids be kids and figure it out along the way. Enough of this social experimentation. My children in grade school don't need to be adults. These are adult issues.

Sexuality is a family jurisdiction. This is NOT an area of life that the state government nor the public school system should take on. Do NOT rob parents of their role in their children's lives. The state government and school districts need to stay in their own jurisdiction.

These topics should not be taught to children at this age! They are way too impressionable! These are discussions that should take place at home!!

Teaching gender identity in kindergarten is unnecessary. It will confuse them. The scientific facts are that there are two sexes. It's not a choice. It's science.

I totally disagree five is to young and also I think that we as parents should teach this to them when we think that they are ready and old enough to understand and also that is ridiculous that they would not pass if we choice to have our kids listen about or learn about it at that time also I think that it is very wrong to go against anyone's religion that is just wrong . My kids will not take that class no matter what I will talk to them about this stuff when I think that they are ready

This is so outrageously wrong! A blatant attack on family and the rights of parents to teach their children their values.

I'm absolutely appalled at the new standards for teaching in regards to gender and sexual issues. These things are in no way age appropriate for elementary aged children.

I'm a retired first grade teacher. If I were still teaching, this curriculum would collect dust in my classroom. If my students parents wanted them to learn this, it their responsibility. Enough social engineering at the expense of our youth.
