This is not some thing schools have a right to be teaching. It's not scientifically correct, it's something that should be discussed privately with family or a psychiatrist, and it is a waste of classroom time and funds.

I don't think this is something that should be taught until high school at least

There's no privacy for kids. For me and others who are religious, I don't like this being taught and forced upon kids. Just like the argument that students should be taught religion in school. Students should not be tested on this. There are more important things to learn in school.

If nothing else, this is going to confuse children endlessly. The kids between ages 5- 12 aren't going to understand at all. Gender identity issues are something that all children will eventually learn about- but this should be left to the parents to do. The school has no business doing this.

Please let teachers teach just the fundamentals... Math, English, science, music, athletics....If the education system has to include teaching the gender differential movement, leave it in the history class as a lesson that America doesn't have to react to every whim and change its traditional values to please a minority who is no longer happy with American standards because it doesn't fit their lifestyle.

Teaching this in school is taking the rights of the parents away to decern for themselves and their children what is appropriate and at what age. The school is overstepping what they should be teaching.

According to research from John's Hopkins the entirety of this idea is greatly more harmful than good to our children.

I support the truth that gender is not fluid. Makes and females are distinct, different, and work together to make the world a better place.

I will choose when my child learns about sexual anything and my 3rd grader is WAY too young to hear about this in school. Teach him math and to love reading, leave the sex talk to me.

Its up to the parents, not the School or the Government

I believe this is a subject that should stay out of the schools, especially elementary schools. I also believe parents have the right to know what is being taught, it's taxpayers money paying for the programs.

My daughter will be in kindergarten next year and my son the year after that. I am not comfortable with a teacher speaking with my young child about these things

Please let parents be in charge of children's education on gender identity. This is not needed in schools.

The govt efforts to remove the parent's participation and role in raising their own child continues. This is not an academic issue and should not be addressed by the school.

I don't think it's necessary to teach kids about this. I don't want my children to become confused when they weren't confused to begin with. If a student is struggling with his or her gender identity, I believe it's good to teach acceptance and support that child respectfully.

I don't want my kids or anyone else to have to learn about nonsense like this. There are only two genders and you are born male or female. Your genes make you that way, not how you feel.
