✍️ Petition to Clean Up the Grow a Garden Tester List

from a concerned tester who actually cares

As an active tester for Grow a Garden, I’m seriously concerned about the current state of the testing group. The size alone is a problem — over 2,000 testers, with more than 1,000 inactive — but the real issue now is leaking.

Leaks used to be rare. Now?

• People are leaking test builds, images, and dev content like it’s no big deal.

• Some testers are even selling access to private content and builds to outsiders.

• Dev work is being spread without permission — often incomplete, taken out of context, or used for clout.

• This completely disrespects the work of the team and ruins the trust between testers and devs.

Let’s be real: this isn’t just annoying — it’s hurting the game’s development and the community around it.

The tester group has turned into a mess:

• Too many inactive testers who don’t participate or provide feedback

• People hoarding roles for bragging rights

• And now, leakers profiting off something they didn’t even help build

Enough is enough.

This petition is calling for:

• A full purge of inactive and suspicious testers

• Stricter access control moving forward (smaller, more trusted groups)

• Consequences for leaking — especially when people are profiting off stolen work

This isn’t about gatekeeping — it’s about respecting the devs, the game, and the testers who are actually trying to help. If we want Grow a Garden to thrive, we need a testing group that’s trustworthy, active, and not filled with opportunists.
