Closure of the Purdue Armory Range would have a detrimental effect on high school rifle teams that have held their state championships there for decades. The Purdue range is the most centrally located range in the state that can accommodate that large of a number of shooters in a growing sport. It should not be closed.

During my time at Purdue, the RPC was a central part of my life. I met two of my best friends there and during two especially low points in my life, the club served as a way to keep me clean and out of trouble.
The love of the shooting sports transcends boundaries like race, political affiliations, and religion in a way that few other activities can. I'm proud to have been a part of an organization that did more to actively promote acceptance than any campus advocacy group. Keep the club going and keep making Purdue an awesome place for all.

My son is a Purdue freshman and former Boy Scout who loved marksmanship in the scout program. He was so excited to see Purdue had a Rifle & Pistol Club. He tried out and made the competition team. His excitement to be representing Purdue was as off the charts as his disappointment has been over the last few weeks since it was announced they could no longer meet and practice in the Armory. Purdue is too great a University to be treating it's students and such a historic club with such disrespect and disdain. Please reconsider this decision and allow this club to continue their great tradition.

Rifle clubs are an integral part of Purdues history along with many other colleges. They have been run with proper respect for safety and the subject matter for years and should be allowed to continue to operate.

As a fellow Hoosier and a mother of a collegiate shooter I give my support of this very important program! My father and grandfather were also competitive marksman going back many years in tradition just like the Purdue program!

This organization provides a great opportunity for its members and I would be very disappointed to see it disbanded.

As a strong supporter of Purdue students getting involved on campus, I am very upset to see the Purdue Rifle and Pistol club is now sitting on the sidelines waiting for a response from Purdue. This is an important club with traditions going back well over 100 years. I understand the lead levels in the armory are too high, I'm sure the shooting contributed, but it would be foolish to exclude the leaky roof and lead paint as well. I hope something can be done to ensure this clubs future. They have "Purdue Young Americans for Liberty" support in getting this issue resolved.

Being a current marksman myself and being interested in attending Pudue Collage, I feel as though this club/sport needs all the help they can get. I fully support marksmanship.

The PRPC is a storied club and competitive team that has represented Purdue with the utmost professionalism and adherance to safety for many years. Purdue would be remiss to not support them in continuing their tradition of education, learning, and sport in the student and shooting community.

As a Purdue alumni and Purdue Pistol team member while At Purdue, I would hope The administration does the right thing to keep a club so rich in history and value to its students moving forward and shows continued support as it has in the past
