The news has arrived that the original Ferris Wheel will be preserved rather than dismantled. I am grateful to each of the 292 individuals who supported this effort to save a significant piece of cinematic history. We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the relocation process remains transparent.

Final supporters
The city of Chicago is replacing the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier for their centennial in 2016. The Ferris Wheel that currently stands was used in the film Divergent. This Ferris Wheel means a great deal to the fans. We wish for Lionsgate to see this petition and inquire into purchasing the original Ferris Wheel. They could place it in a theme park for fans to visit, which could be very successful.

Please keep it and build the "bigger and better" Ferris wheel somewhere else. To some people it has a lot of meaning and it would be a shame to have it torn down
There building it for the centennial. Instead of building it they could just have sheo ride the current Ferris wheel for the centennial. That would be way more popular then a high tec piece of rubbish with no history.
I think this Ferris wheel will still be more popular than a new one. Being as this one means something to many fans of the Divergent series and will always have that certain energy to it that it was used in the movie during one of the most memorable parts to many of us fans.

We have lakes, retired country singers, the less famous osmonds, the Lennon sisters, silver dollar city, and now the Ferris wheel. From one fan girl to another don't stress out.

I live on the other side of the world but on my bucket list it says "Get to Chicago and become an author," and "Visit the Ferris Wheel from Divergent," my dreams will be crushed if that second wish never happens it will feel like none of my dreams can come true.
