We believe the safety of our children in and around St Josephs has become less important than the desire to expand the school.
Governors do not have anything like enough information to safely vote 'Yes' to expansion.
We believe:
-- The personal safety of our children has been ignored by the biased, undemocratic council consultation on expanding St Josephs School.
-- The personal safety of our children is already at risk on the roads around the school and that expansion will increase this danger (and more so because St Annes next door will also expand and because Crossrail will cause huge traffic issues, too).
-- The personal safety of our children cannot be guaranteed during 2-3 years of being taught on a demolition-&-construction site.
-- The personal safety of our children may well be compromised by overcrowding.
We believe a vote for expansion is not a vote for the personal safety of our children.
