Loans were already set up for the 2014-2015 calendar, how can this school justify sky-rocketing prices over night? It is embarrassing that a top polish medical school can ruin its reputation and credibility by financially reaming the international students who are already paying an astronomical tuition in comparison to their polish student counterparts. The housing department is not to blame, they too were unaware of the price hike. Whoever conceived and approved this sudden and unwarranted 150% price increase is doing a great disservice to both the university's reputation, as well as the students who fund and support this university.

The rent increase is too sudden. Easing the students in with some advance notice would have been helpful.

For students living in Aspirynka the monthly fee for a single room was 550 PLN. According to the new dorm policy, rent is equal to 840 PLN/month. The calculated percent increase is equal to 52.7%. An increase of over 50% is unacceptable in such short notice, is this even legal? Students have no rights in this institution anyways, we are being taken advantage of financially. I already sent an email to the dean's and bursary offices stating that what PUMS is doing is unprofessional.

IS NOT JUSTIFIED!!! Funny how these terms came into existence when they decided to spike up the dorm fees!!! RIDICULOUS! It's one thing to inform the students (& of a fair raise) and one thing to just slap us across the face with one (& an insane one! To say the LEAST!!!!)

I'm glad that other students feel the same way and that somebody came up with this petition!!!! The increase in the fees is ridiculous and I agree with absolutely EVERY point mentioned! The single occupancy/double occupancy is just a way to manipulate the situation to get as much $ as they possibly can out of us, even though, as mentioned-IT
