The 9th Street DIY spot should be kept without a single debate. It's as much a part of Austin Texas as any other public park or natural feature. It doesn't matter if a citizen rides a dirt bike or not. They, like anyone can enjoy the place. Either by marveling at the architecture, or leisurely riding it parts of it themselves, maybe just watching in awe of how the locals ride.
By now there's actual generations that have spent countless hours, building, maintaining, and guiding a fully functioning facility. Including the adjustments and provisions only accrued through the years and being such a frequently visited spot. Right in the middle of the city, on a very humble stretch of an otherwise obscure public domain. Regulate it differently if need be, but keep the park or lose yet another part of the city's history and soul.

Austin wouldn't have my shop Clown Dog Bikes if it weren't for me being able to ride in magical places growing up here.
