Why on earth would anyone want more empty condos? Other than the pockets it would pad to build them . . . This is a unique section of the world, why turn it into just another ordinary stretch of blight on nature?? There plenty of that around, you don't have to look far to find it. But you do have to look hard to find natural lbeauty. Let's keep what we can.

I agree with the comments as posted by Charlie Tinley - no hotel, no housing, and no shops. There are several hotels in Cambridge and the surrounding towns; there is available housing throughout the area as well; and certainly downtown Cambridge currently offers wonderful shops, with storefronts available for occupancy. This valuable resource should benefit and support the community. Outdoor summer concerts are a wonderful venue to bring the community together, and certainly a beach/swimming area would be most welcome. I very much enjoy living in Cambridge, with its friendly and casual atmosphere, and I support my community 100%. Unnecessary development brings negative aspects along with it - commercialism, traffic, pollution, and the loss of those values which I call My Home.

First and foremost....No Hotel....No Housing....No Shops......Sailwinds, IMO Gov Hall needs to remain....rebuild the current facility, as it is not suited for Concerts....lets face it...it was designed in the 60's as a Cargo Terminal....so make it a real Venue and Civic area for the Community...and Market it as such....it is a special place..... now maybe include a nice Aquarium, add Fishing and Crabbing Piers, maybe even additional swimming/beach area....as with all the water we have...there is not much swimming/beach area....have some dockage available for "daytripers" and concert goers....... there are plenty of good ideas that have been mentioned by others....take care of the peoples property....keep it the peoples property...remember "Water Moves Us"....but we don’t have much left for the people that live here......and they are not making anymore waterfront these days.................

This area should remain as a public domain. There are many things that could be done with this area to promote it and also keep it local. Condos and another hotel are not the answer.

seems to me that there are quite a few empty eye sores on rt. 50 that could be made into restaurants and hotels if that is what the city council wants. Leave than area a space for the people to enjoy. How many vacant buildings remain downtown? Except for Waterfowl and Eagleman you can't fill the hotels now.

The current discussion seems to lack imagination . I agree that it is the premier spot on the bay. The land was given to provide a home for the community hospital which was to benefit the entire community. The beautiful view was given to the ill and sick of the community to provide not only a place for technical help to the ill but also the aesthetic environment to enhance it. I believe it must benefit all of us in the way it was intended. Not for profit but for the cultural benefit of all.

The sad part about this upcoming development is that no matter what the public and tax payers of both the City of Cambridge and Dorchester County say. The City Council will only do what is most economically viable for themselves and there ego's. As a former board member of Sailwinds I find it extremely sad that they really do not care what the people think but only what does their ego and pockets the best. Look at the members and see for yourself.

More condos and another hotel.....you have got to be kidding me. Let's build some venues that will encourage tourism and job growth.

Eventhough loated within the city limits, Sailwinds is a COUNTY venue. No decision should be made without input from the people of Dorchester County. That location s probably the premeire waterfront location on the Bay. To bring in more condos and another waterfront hotel will not how well for the county when the buildings are empty. This proposed project is more about egs and commissions than it is common sense
