Dry Needling is an extremely effective treatment for patients. PTAs in other states can do it and also ATs.

The scope of practice needs to expand with modern medicine. We are more than capable of learning this skill safely under supervision.

My patients ask for dry needling all the time but I have to turn them away. It makes no sense that PTAs are left out of this.

PTA’s should be allowed to dry needle, there’s a shortage and the availability and it would be beneficial for patient care.

With proper training this should not be an issue.
