Extremely disappointed with Psychology today publishing something so demeaning to BIPOC. Karen’s are villains to many people, and attempting to coddle their supremacy will be our demise, not naming their racism, racism.

Get with the program. I'm curious to see what P.Todays executive and management teams "look". What diversity and inclusion exists within ? Because IF it was representative of the populations we serve and our communities are... This editorial would not have cut the mustard. Am I wrong?

Black mental health demands culturally competent mental healthcare providers!

I reviewed the articles and see very little on cultural competency. With the number of consumers who comes to your site looking for support from mental health providers that are POC it's imperative to include information that supports issues affecting minority populations.

The thinking in this is hurtful to BIPOC, because everything that has been said about “Karens” it the same view that has been leveled against us for centuries.

I worry that Black and Brown representation is sorely lacking at PT. And that is a huge problem.

Absolutely must remove this article and address the harm caused by it as well as taking a hard look at how an article like this got published in the first place.

This article is harmful and not representative of mental health professionals that are aiming to be multiculturally competent.

Karens do not understand how their thoughts and actions result in mistreatment and potential murder for human beings who are black. Wake up Psychology Today!

We aren’t mad because “Karen” is annoyed, we are mad because she is calling the police with the expectation that armed officers will believe whatever she says - the consequence of which could be a black man being arrested or MURDERED. This is a perfect example of the concept of “white tears.” A white woman cries and the globe stops spinning as we step over the dead black body to comfort her.

Psychology Today needs to wake up and deal with the white supremacy that has taking over a healing platform
