I am disgusted by the racist and misogynistic content on your site. I am disappointed in your decision to only show white people in your magazine. It's time for you to wake up and join our profession in taking a stance against oppression.

I’m not surprised because Karen’s must always center themselves in every situation. They struggle with accountability and at this point, there are clearly Karen’s and Karen’s husbands running This organization.

I get that the author may have had a well-meaning intention, but this is such an example of the privilege and systemic racism that plagues our country.

This is what happens when a psychologist deves into sociological realms.
The author ends up using the very derogatory and sexist term himself even as he is challenging it.
Plus if it weren't for those videos and the public response, entitled white indivuals would continue to act with impunity and zero consequences

This is not the only articles or writer in psychology today that is problematic. I will also consider terminating and no longer supporting psychology today depending on their swift action and response.

Do not validate or give permission for the behavior of Karens when it has and is literally toxic and dangerous to those around them that are not directly related to them in anyway. It is unethical.

Although I understand the point of view the writer of the article attempts to make I think the article is latent with White fragility, and overt use of his platform to advocate for his cause while taking away focus from anti-Black racism to the experiences of White women.

In addition to this article there are a number of other questionable articles with other writers you choose for your blog that perpetuate racism due to their lack of self-awareness and development in this area. What measures are you taking to hold your writers accountable for their work and it’s impact on BIPOC?

Psychology Today needs to do better as a whole in it’s representation of BIPOC. It has done poorly in the past and this is just another example. Unacceptable.
