A long time ago a teenage version of myself made a decision to make a psn account. I made a name I thought would be funny. Its not. It could even be veiwed as offsive, or tasteless. Hell it could even get me banned if someone reports it, even though the true meaning isnt even that bad. But here I am 250ish dollars and years of trophie and multiplayer progression later, walking on a thin line. I know many people have spent more time and much more money than that. I fear buying digital games because I could lose all of that in an instant. All because a 14 year old kid who didnt know any better decided using the word "jihad" in his name would be cool. Could I switch? Sure. Do I want to burn 200+ dollars? Not really.

All I want is to change my name once. Is that too much to ask? I'm just tired of my gamertag and want something new. If I had known that I was locked into it; I would've chose differently. This is the only problem I have with Sony, except for them taking away mods from the new Skyrim..

I want my PSN ID changed as soon as possible. At the time I made my ID on the PS3, I was more concerned with trying to download a patch for a game than I was trying to think of a good PSN ID for a longer amount of time.
Also, recent video games on the PS4 display my embarrassing PSN ID on title screens and other menus, and that just makes the whole situation even worse for me.
It's going to be long overdue, but I hope Sony will implement PSN ID changes for the reasons I mentioned above.
