To Chancellor Dr. Mukund Kulkarni, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Omid Ansary, President of Penn State Harrisburg Faculty Senate Dr. Catherine Rios, and Director of Human Resources Dorothy Guy:

We, the undersigned faculty and staff of Penn State Harrisburg, and customers of Highmark Blue Shield, protest on-campus Biometric Screenings, online Wellness Profiles, the usage of WebMD and ICH to collect and store personal health information, the $100 monthly noncompliance penalty, and other requirements of Highmark's "Take Care of Your Health" initiative.

Therefore, we respectfully request:

*That the compliance deadline of November 22, 2013 be extended for at least 12 months, to enable us to learn more about the program, discuss it with College Administrators and Highmark representatives, and comply with requirements.

*That certifications from our doctors be accepted, without difficulty or penalty, in lieu of on-campus Biometric Screenings and online Wellness Profiles.

*That significant changes to our benefits not be unveiled during the summer, when it is more difficult to communicate through customary channels with our coworkers, College Administration, and others concerned parties.

*That the Penn State Harrisburg Faculty Senate discuss the Take Care of Your Health initiative at a Fall meeting, and submit a statement of faculty concerns to the University Faculty Senate and University Administration.

*That the College hold an "open mic" forum, at a place and time accessible to all Penn State Harrisburg employees, and with the College Administration, Human Resources representatives, and Highmark representatives attending, so that faculty and staff may express further concerns and ask additional questions.
