Final supporters
Two years ago we reached out to Holy Cross when we learned that there was a space available and the possibility of leasing was discussed. The space discussed is located at the corner of Soundview and Randall Avenue. It had been used as the Holy Cross Friary. We were asking for the space with the intention of extending PS69x into a Middle School. Here we are two years later and we are learning there has been a discussion of the possibility of leasing the space for the use of alleviating an overflow of students for another school. It makes absolutely no sense due to the simple fact that the available space in questions sits between buildings that we are already using. It would make more sense to make an extension of our school and allow our children to continue to grow in their own community with the people and educators that have assisted in their education thus far. We are asking for PS69x to be granted a Middle School and become PS/MS 069x for the children of the Soundview Community.

The administration is trying to hand off this space for another school despite our urgent need for a Middle School extension. Post this link on Facebook and email your local representative to demand they prioritize our children. Tell them this building sits right between our existing classrooms and belongs to our community.

We hit a real turning point today that proves the district cannot ignore us anymore. Post the link on your Facebook page and text three friends who live in the neighborhood to get them on board. Email your local representative right now to demand they prioritize our children for the Holy Cross space.

My son goes to 69 and he loves his teachers. Moving him to a new school across the neighborhood would be a nightmare for us. Let them keep the middle school section right there.
It is right there! Why would they give it to another school when it is literally connected to our kids' building? This is just common sense.
TOTAL NON SENSE. Keep it for the 69 kids or its a waste of space.
Soundview needs this. Dont send our kids somewhere else when the space is sitting empty right next door.
The kids deserve to stay with their friends. Changing schools in middle school is hard enough without having to leave the community too.

Please let them expand. We have been waiting years for this and our kids need a middle school they are actually comfortable in.
