My daughter is a freshman there and this is honestly terrifying. Locks on doors should have been standard years ago. Glad you are pushing for this.

KEEP PUSHING. This is long overdue and the admin needs to stop dragging their feet on basic safety. Totally unacceptable for doors not to lock.

It’s sad that our children have to go to school and be fearful. Schools should be a safe haven. As a parent I find all incomprehensible. It has to stop.

As a parent, school psychologist and college consultant, this sounds like an excellent idea. Perhaps something to be passed on to other colleges as well. .

I would also recommend an active shooter drill at the beginning of each semester.
