Please Help us reach the needed officials regarding the mental Health Crisis in the State of Florida. We live in Duval County Florida and have tried now for 8 years to get inpatient mental Health care for our Adult Mental Ill Child who suffers from TBI, PTSD, OCD Bipolar, Depressions issues. We have reached out to every resource in Du val and all surrounding counties only to find out there is no help at all. When people with Mental Health issues are left untreated they end up getting arrested due to behaviors that normally could be avoided with proper medications and Hospital setting care. We are in a bad situation right now watching a young person with Brain Damage not be able to get any help but is instead looking at prison term where they would be locked away untreated and very vulnerable to other inmates due to mental health conditions. Please Help the State of Florida. Please Stop the vicious cycle of these people ending up in jail worse off when they get out then before arrested. We need inpatient Mental Health care.
