The Task: To demand that labor departments enforce workplace safety on more construction sites around the U.S.

The Issue: Too many construction sites lack the proper safety and many companies do not even enforce the safety regulations already put in place because of the shortage of safety inspectors. The problem with this is, there have been too many injuries that resulted in expensive insurance claims.

Now, major cities tend to take months to begin construction projects due to the lack of properly trained staff, the lack of the proper safety equipment, and the right workplace safety procedures. Most importantly, there is a major shortage of site safety inspectors. Workers pay for it in the long run and labor departments are aware of the need, but aren’t meeting demand for site safety inspectors.

This delay either keeps workers out of work, or it puts them in danger because they need to work and sites need to continue operating in order to meet deadlines.

The Solution: By putting a lot of pressure on work and labor boards, we can hopefully encourage them to employ and provide more site safety managers to help keep construction and job sites safer.

Join us in the fight to encourage better workplace safety.

At BRW Safety, we strongly believe that more job sites need better safety measures put into place. For more info, please read this blog post too.
