Sport, football in particular, has seen some high profile cases of deaths due to heart issues during or after activity. Often issues with hearts and cardio-vascular issues are pre-conceived and only affect elderly people. Clearly, with the recent incident involving young Jamie Skinner and not so long ago Barclays Premier League player, Fabrice Muamba, this is not the case.
This is a petition for the Scottish Government to work with the relative authorities, Sports Scotland and many others, to provide Heart Defibrillators at ALL sporting facilities throughout the country.
my son plays football every weekend and it scares me that there isnt one of these at his local pitch. just seems like common sense to have them everywhere.
