This petition is a protest against how mental health situations have been handled by certain schools and the lack of communication between students and staff about decisions made concerning the student. It's time for schools to start dealing with these situations more sensitively and do what's best for the student, not the school's reputation. Many schools seem to think it best to simply ban students with mental health issues from trips and treat them as though they are being punished, instead of supporting them and getting them the help they need.
